 Very dense, great cover for the little ones Jan 19, 2011

I got this plant some time ago, and at first I did not care for it. It's dense and clumps together, which helps it look more real, but it doesn't flow in the water current very well. I ended up putting it in my Jack Dempsey breeding tank. I buried the bottom and folded the top over this large rock in my tank and made a dense plant bed. needless to say, the fry that have hatched love it. I would think it would also provide great cover for other small fish. So if you need a plant for this purpose, look no further. If you are looking for a large plant to flow in the current, try the bamboo.

Not exactly "life-like" but it still impressed me. Especially at the price point I paid. I'm using it this winter in my pond so the fish will have some shelter from anything that may try to harm them. This one plant is enough to provide all 3 of them ample shelter. Each Fancy Tail Comet is about 5 or 6 inches. They love it. So do I! I'm getting another one.
